The star of one of CBS’ most popular shows made a recent trip to his home state of Ohio to unveil a very different project.

Josh Radnor, who plays Ted Mosby in “How I Met Your Mother,” is a Bexley native and a graduate of Kenyon College in Gambier.

Radnor recently made a film called “Liberal Arts,” that was shot at Kenyon. The film is about a student who returns to his alma mater for a professor’s retirement party and falls for a current student, played by Elizabeth Olsen

Radnor, who plays a character named Jesse, alongside Olsen, Allison Janney, Zach Efron and Richard Jenkins, becomes infatuated with Olsen’s character, a theater student.

On the small screen, Radnor is about to embark on season eight of his popular show.

“We left off with Ted coming in to see Robin,” Radnor said. “It’s revealed she was the bride, so we pick up season eight right there.”’

“How I Met Your Mother” leaves fans guessing who is the future mother of character Ted Mosby’s children.

Season eight, which premiers Monday at 8 p.m. on CBS, leads viewers from Barney proposing to his girlfriend, Quinn, at the end of season seven to how he came to marry Robin at the start of season eight.

“Season eight will be a long explanation of how that came to be,” said “How I Met Your Mother” co-star Neil Patrick Harris.
