Warm and muggy conditions will remain across central Ohio tonight through Tuesday. Most of central Ohio will remain dry through the evening hours. There is a slight chance that thunderstorms could push into western and central Ohio late tonight, after midnight. The storms should be weakening as they move into central Ohio Tuesday morning. More storms are expected to develop Tuesday afternoon and evening as a cold front enters the state. The Storm Prediction Center has most of Ohio under a “Slight Risk” for severe thunderstorms Tuesday. Damaging winds and large hail would be the main threat from the strong storms; however the threat should remain quite isolated.
The front should slowly push south of the state on Wednesday although a few lingering showers or storms will be possible for midweek. Cooler, less humid air will filter into the state Wednesday night with dry and pleasant weather expected for Red, White and Boom Thursday and for the 4th Of July Holiday.

A cold front will approach the state Tuesday and may lead to a few storms during the very early morning hours. These storms should be weakening as they arrive.
