Homicide Detectives Investigate Motel Shooting Death

Columbus homicide detectives are investigating a shooting death at a west Columbus motel room.

Officers responded to the Travelodge Motel in the 1500 block of West Broad Street near North Central Avenue on a report of a shooting around 6:40 a.m.

When police arrived, they say they found a person dead with a gunshot wound in one of the rooms.

Officers called homicide detectives to investigate.

Columbus Police identify the victim as 23-year-old David Duff.

At this time, detectives are attempting to identify the suspect.

Investigators say he was last seen leaving the motel with a woman driving a blue car.
