Hilliard Police Announce Sobriety Checkpoint

The City of Hilliard Police Department has announced an OVI sobriety checkpoint for Saturday, Aug. 3.

The checkpoint is in conjunction with the Ohio State Highway Patrol and funded by federal grants. It is scheduled to help curb impaired drivers from the road.

It will also be held with saturation patrols nearby to help prevent alcohol-related injuries and crashes that prove fatal.

Hilliard Police Department wishes to inform citizens that if you consume alcohol to designate someone to drive you home or make other travel arrangements before drinking.
