Gunman Takes Off After East Columbus Shooting

Police were searching for a gunman after shooting a woman in east Columbus.

The shooting happened Thursday night around 9:30 on East Whittier Street.

Officers say the accused shooter, identified as 43-year-old Lee Porter, got into an argument with another man, Jeff Caldwell.

The argument became violent, and Porter was asked to leave the house.

Police say Porter returned a short time later and fired several shots into the home.

32-year-old Latasha Stanley was shot in the foot.

Porter left the house before police arrived and has not been arrested.
