Gun Pointed At Student Outside Elementary School, Robbery Prompts Chase Of 4 Inside Stolen SUV

Police chased four people who they said bailed from a stolen SUV and ran on Wednesday morning.

The four people were taken into custody at about 10 a.m.

Officers said the chase began after a 16-year-old reported being approached by the people inside of the stolen SUV at about 8:20 a.m.

It was unknown from where the SUV was stolen on Tuesday.

The 16-year-old was robbed of his cell phone and other items, and the alleged robbers took off, crews reported.

10TV News crews reported that the people inside of the SUV then drove by Parkmoor Elementary School, located at 1711 Penworth Dr., and pointed a gun at a 9-year-old student outside of the school.

Police were then notified.

According to 10TV News crews on the scene, a stolen SUV was located near Karl Road and East North Broadway Wednesday morning and the chase began. The driver crashed the SUV into parked cars along Gerbert Avenue, and the four people bailed and ran.

Police said those involved were between 15 and 17 years old. No charges were immediately filed, and the teenagers’ names were not released.

Parkmoore Elementary School was not placed under lockdown during the incident.
