Security measures at Granville High School started early Monday morning after a bomb threat was found written on a wall at the school.

Searches began as early as 5 a.m. as K-9 units searched inside and outside the building, 10TV's Shayla Reaves reported.

Police patrolled the grounds and students were asked to leave their bags at home.  Students who chose to bring bags to school had their bags searched by fire officials.

"We have done some adjustments to the schedule to ensure that we have optimal security." said Jeff Brown, Superintendent of Granville Exempted Village Schools.

Police were on campus the entire day.
