Grant To Help Columbus Metropolitan Library Increase Early Literacy Program
The Columbus Metropolitan Library said on Tuesday that it had received a $249,727 National Leadership Grant from
the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
The grant will be used to invest in the SPARK program, which is an home-visitation program that aims to prepare at-risk children
for kindergarten, according to the library.
The grant was one of 42 awarded last week.
The money will enable Columbus Metropolitan Library, in partnership with Learn4Life and Columbus City Schools, to engage 375 4 year olds and their families during the next three years.
