Genoa Township Police Issue Warning To Residents After String Of Burglaries

Genoa Township police issued a warning to residents on Monday morning to be vigilant in keeping their property safe.

Thieves broke into two houses in the same neighborhood early Friday.

The two burglaries occurred in Highland Lakes East on Congressional and Commonwealth drives.

The thieves may be two individuals, but police said they did not have good descriptions.

Police are also investigating several burglaries from the same night, but it is unknown whether they are related.

Genoa Township police warned residents to keep garage doors and houses secure and to use their alarm systems, if applicable.

Any suspicious activity should be reported to police at 740-833-2800.
