Funnel Clouds Spotted In Pickaway County
The National Weather Service confirmed funnel clouds formed in Pickaway County Tuesday evening.
People who saw the funnel clouds snapped pictures or filmed them.
"I wasn't really sure until I saw a second one come down and that's when I pulled my phone out and started recording," Tim Miller said.
Miller was driving home from work along Route 23 when he spotted the clouds.
"No wind, lightning or anything like that," Miller said. Miller captured two funnel clouds in the sky with his cell phone video camera.
"I've never seen anything like it. So it was kind of exciting but a little nerve racking at the same time," Miller said.
Devi Shortridge saw the funnel cloud while driving home from work along Route 104.
"Not thinking about anything, like it wasn't raining or anything and I just looked at the sky and there was like a funnel," Shortridge said. "I was scared."
The Pickaway County Sheriff's Office said they received multiple calls from people concerned about the funnel clouds.
The National Weather Service did not issue a tornado warning because the funnel clouds did not form into a tornado and said there was no threat.
