Police in Columbus arrested a man wanted for domestic violence charges after escaping from authorities in Atlanta.

The man's mother called police to warn them that he was headed this way.

The suspect was spotted exiting a Megabus after 2 p.m. on Monday.

Police chased him into a parking garage downtown at the Arena Crossing apartments.

The man was eventually caught running near Lincoln Street and High Street.

Authorities are looking for a weapon that the man may have thrown in a sewer while being chased.
