Former WBNS-10TV News Anchor Tom Ryan Passes Away

10TV News said goodbye to a former anchor on Wednesday.

Tom Ryan, 81, who spent most of his career at WBNS-10TV News in the 1960s and 1970s, passed away on Sunday.

Ryan, who lived in Upper Arlington, passed away after suffering a heart attack.

The former anchor started his career in his hometown of Lima and then moved to the Columbus market.

After his time on the desk at 10TV News and then WTVN, Ryan continued to appear in commercials.

He then served as a spokesman for former Columbus Mayor Dana Rinehart.
