Former Pickerington Library Worker Heads To Jail For Theft

A former public library worker was set to begin serving 90 days in jail for theft.

Dorothy Howdyshell 48, of Baltimore, pleaded no contest to the charge in January.

Howdyshell was accused of stealing more than $25,000 from the Pickerington Public Library while working there as its fiscal officer.

She paid back the money after being ordered to as part of her sentence. She was also ordered to pay $7,500 to the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services.

Howdyshell was ordered to report on Sunday to the Fairfield County jail to begin serving her sentence. Another 90 days was suspended on the condition she serve five years of community control.
