Former Chief Deputy Avoids Prison Time For Gross Sexual Imposition Charge

A former Pike County Chief Deputy avoids prison after being found guilty of gross sexual imposition.

The Hocking County Clerk confirmed that Clyde Sanders, 50, of Lucasville was sentenced to five years of community control sanctions and must classify as a Tier II sex offender for 25 years.

The Chillicothe Gazette reports Sanders pleaded no contest to the charge on April 29 in a plea agreement and he was found guilty of gross sexual imposition of a child under 10.

He was also charged with kidnapping and rape, but those charges were dropped.

Sanders was chief deputy in Pike County before he retired a few years ago.
