The former treasurer of the Watkins Memorial Band Boosters has entered a not guilty plea to theft charges.

Ernest "Todd" Bowers is accused of stealing $67,000 from the organization.

He appeared in court on Tuesday.

According to investigators, Bowers allegedly used funds belonging to the Watkins Memorial Band Boosters for his personal use, including adult entertainment, trips, and gas.

The Licking County prosecutor’s office has said that Bowers' wife may face charges as well; she was president of the organization during Todd Bowers' tenure as treasurer.

Bowers left his position with the boosters in May.

No trial date was immediately set.
