Officials at the Columbus Zoo say there's been a birth in the new Heart of Africa exhibit.

A vervet monkey gave birth to a male, according to the Zoo's Facebook page.

Both the mother and son are doing well and spending limited time in the outdoor habitat.

Animal experts say vervet babies are cherished by troop members and all adult females will take time to groom and hold the infant.
