Firefighters were calling a south Columbus garage fire suspicious.

The flames broke out about 2 a-m Wednesday right behind an empty home on Innis Avenue.

Smoke was still pouring out of the garage long after firefighters put out the flames.

Neighbors say no one lived in the home, but squatters are known to camp out in the area.
