Firefighter Injured Responding To House Fire

A Franklin Township firefighter broke his finger on the scene of a house fire Tuesday night in Southwest Columbus.

Columbus Division of Fire Battalion Chief Patrick Ferguson said the firefighter was taken to Doctor's West Hospital for treatment.

Chief Ferguson said the firefighter slipped on the ice and fell.

Fire officials said the fire inside a home in the 1100 block of McCarley Drive was electrical.

An investigator was called out to the scene. No one else was injured in the fire.
