Fire Investigators Searching For Cause Of Suspicious Fire

Fire Investigators were searching for the cause of a suspicious fire in southeast Columbus.

People living in an apartment in the 2700 block of Brandy Drive said they started smelling smoke in the hallway around 12:30 a.m.

They said opened their doors they found a chair in the hall engulfed in flames.

Firefighters said when they arrived at the scene, all residents of the complex had made it out safely.

They said no one was injured in the fire, and everyone was able to go back inside once the fire was put out.
