Fayette County Deputy Taken By Medical Helicopter To Columbus After Crash

A Fayette County deputy was in serious condition after a crash near Williamsport on Monday evening.

According to the Fayette County Sheriff's Office, Det. Phil Brown was traveling on U.S. 22 near Keyes Road in Pickaway County, where he lives, when he lost control of a 2012 Dodge Charger that belongs to the county.

The sheriff said that Brown lost control because of a medical condition and struck a culvert and utility pole before overturning the vehicle.

A medical helicopter transported Brown to the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus.

The sheriff said the Pickaway County Sheriff's Office was investigating the crash.
