Family Awakens To Bullet Flying Through Home

Assault Detectives are investigating after a bullet flew through a family’s home.

It happened Friday morning around 3:30 a.m. on South Claredon Avenue at Sullivant Avenue in west Columbus.

Columbus Detectives say several shots were fired. One of them went into an upstairs bedroom where a mother was sleeping.

Police identify the mother as 52-year-old Lisa Smith.  She was not hurt. Neither were the other two people inside the home.

Detectives questioned two people of interest. They say they both had guns on them and are trying to see if the guns match the bullet casings. So far, no one has been charged.
