A family of 11 is trying to figure out what’s next after flames destroyed a Hilltop home and everything inside.

The fire started around 3:00 a.m. at the home along Midland Avenue, just south of Broad Street.

Fire crews said an electrical issue sparked the fire in the basement, spreading quickly to the upper floors.  Firefighters had to cut through the walls to reach the flames.

Luckily, the fire was contained to the house and neighbors did not need to evacuate.

No one was injured.

The Anderson family was renting the home, but they were not home when the fire started.

Sheri Anderson tells 10TV she is grateful her husband and their 9 kids are safe following the blaze.  But her main concern now is clothing for her family and a place to sleep tonight.

The family is now working to salvage what they can. Sheri says her family was in the process of trying to buy the home, that's out of the question now.
