Families Displaced By Fire At Downtown Apartment Building


One person suffered minor injuries after a fire near Downtown Columbus early Tuesday.

The fire sparked at a four-unit apartment building, located on Mound Street near South 18th Street, shortly after 4 a.m.

Fire crews said that everyone made it out safely, despite the minor injury.

Crews said that three of the four apartment units were occupied at the time of the fire, which was believed to have started in a downstairs unit.

Arson investigators were on scene, but initial reports suggested that the fire was accidental, crews told 10TV News.
