A woman is back on the job, but is shaken after nearly being dragged by someone trying to rob her store.

Surveillance video shows a line of vehicles at the Beverage Dock, located at 2330 Harrisburg Pike, in Grove City on Tuesday night.

A female employee of the drive-thru, who did not want to be named to protect her safety, said that she was working to keep up with the line of vehicles.

The alleged victim said that a woman approached in a Jeep and asked for cigarettes and a soda.

When the name on the credit card the customer presented did not match the woman’s identification, the woman in the Jeep took off.

“I told her I couldn’t accept it, and she was counting her money at the same time,” the employee said. “She said, ‘OK, I’ll pay cash.”

The employee said that she was able to break free from the vehicle as the woman tried to speed away.

Surveillance video shows that the person in line behind the Jeep speed off to try to get a license plate number.

“That was brave, and I really appreciate that,” the alleged victim said. “Not a lot of people would have done that. I really do appreciate it.”

The Good Samaritan got the license plate number, and the employee called police.

“Hopefully, they’ll catch her,” the employee said.

Robbery detectives said that they were reviewing the surveillance video and would follow up on the license plate lead.

The owner of the Beverage Dock told 10TV News that the company is changing its payment policy to ensure employee safety.
