Emergency Responder Struck While Helping Patient Out Of Ambulance
An ambulance worker was hospitalized after being struck while helping a patient out of an ambulance, according to the Lancaster Eagle Gazette.
Lancaster police said the crash occurred just before 3 p.m. on Friday on East Main Street in Lancaster.
The paper reported that the vehicle that struck the ambulance was driven by an older woman who lost control of the vehicle and struck the worker and the medic vehicle.
The medic worker was hospitalized, and the driver of the other vehicle was checked out at the scene.
The injuries appeared minor, according to the Lancaster Eagle Gazette.
The crash happened near the Homestead Care and Rehabilitation Center.
