East Side Chicken Restaurant Evacuated After Bomb Threat

Restaurant employees were evacuated after receiving a call about pipe bombs on the roof Saturday morning.

Columbus police said that employees of the Church’s Chicken, located at 1520 E. Main St., called them after receiving a threat of the bombs shortly after 10:30 a.m.

Police evacuated the building. No other buildings in the area were evacuated.

Police continued to investigate.

There were no immediate reports of injuries.

UPDATE: The scene was cleared at about 11:15 a.m.
