East Main Street Reopens
Columbus Police reopened East Main Street Tuesday night after an over-sized semi-truck took down power lines.
A portion of East Main Street - between Brice Road and McNaughten Road – was shut down for hours.
The semi-truck took down the power lines around 1:30 PM Tuesday afternoon.
No injuries have been reported thus far and some area businesses have closed due to the power outage.
AEP says about 1,800 customers were without power due to the accident. Power has since been restored and the intersection lights are working.
