A Dublin company is leading the way when it comes to advances in breast cancer surgery.

Navidea Biopharmaceuticals recently developed a new method to better target cancer-ridden lymph nodes.

Lymphoseek is a dye that maps out specific areas affected by cancer, allowing doctors to perform less invasive surgeries on women.

The FDA approved Lymphoseek in March.

The dye was developed by Dublin researchers, thanks to a grant from Komen Columbus.
