Dublin-Area Residents Concerned About Man Seen Peeping In Windows

A prowler is plaguing one Dublin-area community.

One resident of the Riverside Green apartments said she wanted to share her story after she caught a man peeking in her windows.

“Probably around 8 p.m., I went to get my mail by myself, and there was a sketchy creature who was walking or he was jogging this way on the road, and right when I got here, he stopped and turned around,” said the resident, who only wanted to be identified by Megan.

The woman said she did not think much of the Thursday night encounter until a few hours later when her boyfriend caught a glimpse of the man peeping in her windows.

“He was the one who was like, ‘There is someone outside,’” Megan said.

The woman said she pulled back the blinds, and the prowler took off.

The incident was not the first time someone was spotted peeping into windows in the complex.

Police took multiple reports, including three from last summer.

Resident Rose Hillbrand said that she keeps her eyes peeled for peepers.

“Yeah, it’s creepy,” Hillbrand said. “I’m like, ‘Are my blinds all the way closed and stuff like that.”

Megan said she was worried about the man’s return.

“He’s never been known to enter, but what is going to stop him?”

Police said there was not a clear description of the man, other than that he appeared to be in his 20s.

Columbus police continue to investigate.
