The driver who found a badly burned woman wailing on an eastern Ohio road has testified about the shocking sight at the trial of a man charged in her death.

Mark Bretz tearfully told jurors in Zanesville on Monday about finding 29-year-old Celeste Fronsman of Canton in August 2012. He said she was beaten and scorched but provided at least two names when he asked who hurt her.

Bretz said one of those was 34-year-old LaFonse Dixon, who is on trial for murder, kidnapping and arson. Dixon has pleaded not guilty.

Dixon's attorneys questioned why Bretz wrote down another name for investigators but not Dixon's. Bretz said he thought one name would be enough of a lead.

Two women arrested in the case pleaded guilty to avoid the death penalty.
