Driver Blames Bad Brakes After Crashing SUV Into Carryout

A driver is blaming bad brakes for crashing into a building in southeast Columbus.

The SUV crashed into the front of a Chatterton Road carryout around 10 a.m.

The drive, whose identity was not released, said the crash occurred as he was pulling up to the store.

There were no reports of injuries, though the store sustained significant damage to the front door and window.

Police said the man behind the wheel was driving with a suspended license and expired license plates.
