Driver Accused Of Running Over Woman On Purpose

Police have arrested a woman accused of hitting a second woman with her car on purpose.

The crash happened around 2:45 a.m. Wednesday near the intersection of Karl Road and East Dublin Granville Road in north Columbus.

Police said two women had just left a bar in the area and got into a fight in the vehicle.

The victim got out of the car and walked down the sidewalk.

Officers said the driver then drove up onto the sidewalk, hit the victim and drove off.

The driver returned to the scene and was arrested shortly after the crash. Police told 10TV they don't suspect the driver was drunk.

The victim was taken to Riverside Hospital with a broken leg.
