Deputy Struck By Vehicle At Sobriety Checkpoint

A Franklin County Sheriff's deputy was struck by a vehicle while working at a sobriety checkpoint Friday night.

It happened after 11:00 p.m. at the checkpoint on Refugee Road near Courtright Road in Southeast Columbus.

The deputy was taken to a hospital with minor injuries and was expected to be ok.

It's unclear if the vehicle that hit the deputy stopped.

The Franklin County DUI Task Force was conducting the sobriety checkpoint.

It began at 9:00 p.m. and lasted until 3:00 a.m. on Saturday.
