Delaware City Schools Not Kicking Cursive Writing To The Curb Yet

Delaware City Local Schools students will continue to learn cursive writing, the district's superintendent said.

Schools around the country are starting to phase cursive writing out of the curriculum, deeming it an increasingly less relevant skill.

Delaware Superintendent Paul Craft said the district planned to stick with it for now, but he said some lessons will eventually have to be retired as schools continue to add new courses, such as keyboarding.
