A very cold day ahead as high pressure builds into the region. Wind chills will be well below zero for most of the day. Temperatures will slowly moderate heading into the weekend ahead of the next storm system that will affect the region beginning Saturday night and into Sunday. Behind this, look for the coldest temperatures in recent years for the early to middle part of next week as Arctic air invades.
