Crime Of The Week: Police Seek Information In 2008 Homicide In North Columbus

This week’s “Crime of the Week” concerns a Homicide which took place on the North side of Columbus in 2008. 

On Thursday, September 4, 2008, at 1:00 a.m., patrol officers were dispatched to the 1600 block of Graniteway Lane to the Hickory Grove apartment complex, on a shooting.  Upon arrival, officers found 25-year old O’Brian Anthony, who had been shot and was lying in the doorway of the residence.  O’Brian died from his injuries shortly after.  Investigators learned that O’Brian Anthony had been in a dispute in the courtyard in front of the residence and the suspect may have attempted to rob him.  After shooting O’Brian, the suspect ran from the area in the direction of Shanley Drive.
