Crime Alert Issued On OSU Campus After Three Robberies

Ohio State police issued a crime alert Saturday after three robberies occurred on and near campus.

Police said the first incident occurred on W. 17th Ave. and College Rd. at 11:05 p.m. Friday.  A male OSU student told police he was knocked down by two suspects and was robbed.  The victim sustained minor injures.

OSU Police said the second incident happened about ten minutes later on the South Oval walk near Hale Hall.  A male OSU student said he was knocked down, kicked and punched and had personal property stolen.  The victim was not able to provide a description of the suspect.

Police said a third robbery took place off campus at 1:25 a.m. on Saturday at E. 13th Ave and N. Pearl St. An OSU student stated he was approached by a suspect who pointed a knife at him.  He had personal property taken and was not injured.  Columbus Division of Police is investigating the third robbery.
