Police said on Thursday night that they were searching for a missing couple that could be related to the death of a missing woman.

Bellefontaine police and the Logan County Sheriff's Office said that they were requesting the public's help in locating a green 2004 Mercury Grand Marquis and its owners, Richard and Gladis Russell.

The couple, from rural Logan County, was reported missing, 10TV's Jason Frazer reported.

Their vehicle, a green 2004 Mercury Grand Marquis, was also missing, authorities said.

The couple lives less than two miles away from the site where a vehicle belonging to a man sought in a woman's death was discovered earlier on Thursday.

Tiffany Brown's body was found discovered in the basement of her mother's home, 10TV News reported.

Brown, 26, a mother of two, disappeared last week after setting out to run errands.

Officers were interviewing Brown's mother, Deb Neeley, on Wednesday night when they identified what appeared to be bloody clothing belonging to Neeley's boyfriend in an upstairs area of the house.  The officers later searched the basement and found Brown's body hidden there, 10TV's Tanisha Mallett reported.

Investigators said that an autopsy was scheduled to positively identify Brown and determine how she died.

They were also searching for Neeley's boyfriend, Samuel K. Littleton, 37, who lived in the basement, Mallett reported.  Police have called him a person of interest in the case.

Littleton's criminal history includes a drug possession arrest in 2001, for which he served five years of community control.  He was also charged that same year for resisting arrest.

Clair Fulkerson, Brown's cousin, appealed for Littleton to come forward.

"You need to come forward and tell what you know," she said.  "There's a lot of stuff unknown at this point, and we need you to come forward and put it together.  Just let us know whether you had part or didn't.  We just need to know."

Brown vanished last Friday after dropping her two children off at a neighbor's house and leaving to run errands.  Concern grew when she never returned to pick her boys up.

Brown's Honda Civic was found on Monday, parked at a Bellefontaine apartment complex with the keys inside, Mallett reported.

According to Brown's mother, police informed her that her daughter's cell phone was turned on Saturday and a call was made to Chicago.

Police said on Thursday afternoon that Neely was not a suspect.

Littleton has not been charged and police said at this point they just want to talk to him, Frazer reported.

Police said they found Littleton's red Chevrolet pickup abandoned on Wednesday night about 10 miles from where Brown's body was found.

Family members said Littleton, who had dated Brown's mother for at least 15 years, was like a father figure to Brown, Frazer reported.

"From the way she always told me she never said anything about them not getting along or anything the way she's always talked they've always gotten along," said neighbor Deborah McClain.

Littleton is 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs 140 pounds.  He has brown hair and blue eyes.

Sheriff's deputies said that Russell's vehicle has Ohio license plate No. PDG-13E.

Anyone with information on Littleton's whereabouts is asked to call 911 or 937-599-8477.
