Couple Attacked By Multiple Dogs In Near East Columbus

Police are investigating after a couple reported being attacked by multiple dogs.

At least five dogs attacked the man and woman at Lilley Avenue and East Rich Street around 4:30 p.m.

10TV crews at the scene said that the dogs were five pit bulls.

Police said that two of the dogs were shot and killed, and three were returned to their owners.

Medics were called to the scene for the couple, who reportedly tried to fight the dogs off with sticks.

The extent of their injuries was not known. The two were taken to Ohio State University Hospital East.

Investigators did not immediately release any information about the dogs' owners.
