Cooling Centers Open To Help Those Without Power

A number of cooling centers are open around central Ohio on Saturday for those dealing with the heat without power.

The following centers are open Saturday:

-Lancaster: Fairfield Co. Chapter of the American Red Cross at 121 W. Mulberry St.
-Whitehall: Whitehall Senior Center at 4924 Etna road. If you need transportation, you can call police at 614-237-6333
-Gahanna: Gahanna Senior Center at 480 Rocky Fork Blvd. The center will be open, 1-9 p.m. Saturday.
-Delaware: All district librarires, through 5 p.m.
-Delaware: Vineyard Church of Delaware County on 1001 Cherry St., 24 hours

From the American Red Cross:
-Gallipolis: Gallia County Senior Center at 1167 S.R. 160, noon-6p.m.
-Waterford: Waterford Elementary School at 19701 S.R. 339, 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.
-Zanesville: Christ’s Table at 28 S. 6th St., noon-as needed
-Zanesville: The Salvation Army at 515 Putnam Ave., 1-3 p.m.
-Zanesville: Muskingum County Center for Seniors at 200 Sunrise Center, 8 a.m. - 10 p.m.
-McConnellsville: Morgan County Senior Center at 10 W. Main St., 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.
-Johnstown: Johnstown Recreation Center at 185 W. Maple St.
-Cambridge: 1022 Carlyle Ave., as needed
-Ashville: Ashville Public Library on Long Street, 11:30 a.m. –  5 p.m.
-Laurelville: Laurelville Church of God at 16457 S.R. 56, noon – as needed
-Newark: Licking County Aging Center at 745 E. Main St., noon – 8 p.m.
-Pataskala: West Licking Fire Department at 851 E. Broad St., noon – 8 p.m.
-Coshocton: Coshocton Red Cross at 245 N. 4th St., noon – as needed
-Gambier: Kenyon athletic Complex on Dove St., 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.
-Fredericktown: Fredericktown Presbyterian Church, 17 S. Main St., 11 a.m. – 8 p.m.
-Marion: Marion Red Cross at 1849 Summerset Dr., noon – 6 p.m.
-Circleville: Pickaway County Red Cross at 1180 N. Court St., as needed
