Convicted Felon Headed Back to Prison After Allegedly Touching Himself at Goodale Park
A convicted felon is headed back to prison after reports that he was inappropriately touching himself at a Columbus park.
The Ohio Adult Parole Authority ordered Robert Hudson Junior back to prison for 180 days.
Kelli Wallace said she plays with her 4-year-old son Jayden on the playground at Goodale Park all the time.
That's why she finds the news of a man allegedly touching himself, while snapping photos of young children at the park, so disturbing.
Wallace said, “That's scary; it gives me the chills just thinking about it.
It happened late last month. Multiple people spotted the man and called police.
One caller told a 911 dispatcher, “I'm at Goodale Park, right around the kids play area, and there is a weird guy taking pictures of kids. I'm calling because I'm really concerned, but he looks like he is aroused.”
“There is a guy at Goodale Park on the southwest side, near the kids’ playground, rubbing himself and as a mental health nurse I find it very inappropriate,” another caller told dispatchers.
Columbus police responded and arrested Robert Hudson Junior on a warrant for a parole violation.
10TV did some digging, and found Hudson was sentenced in 2000 to 12 years in prison for beating his girlfriend's 11-month-old son so badly, he nearly died.
Records show Hudson was released from prison in in July of 2012. Late last year, he was arrested again after giving Ohio State Police false information.
He was sent back to prison, and released again, just four months ago.
He is now back in prison, which is a relief for parents like Kelli Wallace.
Hudson was never charged with the alleged offenses at the park. According to a police report, officers didn't observe his actions.
