Consumer 10 Scam Warning: Gahanna Non-Profit Hacked
The non-profit organization Gahanna Residents in Need was hacked by an unknown source, according to authorities.
Gahanna Police tell 10TV a mailing list operated by Gahanna Residents In Need was accessed by an unknown source. The scammer sent messages asking for large amounts of money from those in the organization.
Police add that those on the mailing list have since changed their password to prevent further scams.
Gahanna Residents in Need says it supports families in the Gahanna-Jefferson School District by meeting a wide variety of needs.
