Columbus Woman Accused Of Carrying Drugs In Car

A Columbus woman faces felony drug charges after troopers say she was found with cocaine in her vehicle.

Shameka Gavin, 27, was stopped for a traffic violation around 8 p.m. on U.S. Route 23 near Lucasville.

The Ohio Highway Patrol says that Gavin had 84 grams of cocaine and eight grams of marijuana in her possession.

The drugs have a street value of about $8,500, according to the OHP.

Gavin has been charged with first-degree felony possession.
