A Columbus teacher's aide who was accused of kissing and fondling a middle school student has resigned.

Justin D. Brown, 29, resigned last month citing personal reasons.

Brown was an instructional assistant at Medina Middle School.

Nine months ago he was accused of kissing a fondling a girl at the school. The alleged incident was witnessed by another student.

Brown denied the allegations, and charges were dismissed before the grand jury heard the case.

Prosecutors told The Columbus Dispatch that the accuser did not show up for multiple meetings about the case.
