Columbus Police are searching for a man accused of robbing a Huntington Bank and threatening to shoot the bank's manager.

It happened at 3003 E Main Street around 10:00 a.m. Saturday.

Officers said the man went up to the counter and asked how to get a loan.

Police said during that conversation, the man handed the manager a note demanding money and threatened to shoot the manager.

The manager and bank employees then gave the suspect the money and he left.

Witnesses said they saw a red cloud of smoke as the man fled the area.

Police said that was likely a dye pack exploding in the money.

Officers said the man was about 25-30 years old, 5'10" to 6'0" wearing a dark colored hoodie and light pants.
