Columbus Police Identify Man Shot & Killed By Homeowner

Columbus Police have identified a man they say was shot and killed while burglarizing a south side home.

Police responded to Bruckner Road near Lockbourne Road around 4:00 Monday morning.

They found 21-year-old Rayley C. Kroah with a gunshot wound.  He was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The homeowner says he went to investigate after his burglar alarm went off and found Kroah and another man inside his garage.

The homeowner says they got into a fight and he fired the gun, shooting Kroah.  The other suspect continued to attack the homeowner and his wife before running away.

Columbus Police are looking for that second burglary suspect.

The homeowner has not been charged.

The shooting is still under investigation.
