Columbus Man Shot, Beaten With Tool After Argument

A Columbus man is being accused of beating a man with a tool and then shooting him at his South Sixth Street residence earlier this month.

Carl Jay White, 41, allegedly shot a gun into the victim's home on October 24 just before 1 a.m.

The victim and White then got into an argument. According to police, White hit the victim with a tool which was possibly a chainsaw sharpener.

White then allegedly shot the victim.

The victim had to get stitches for cuts on his face and has buckshot wounds in his leg. He's expected to recover from the injuries.

White has been charged with Felonious Assault.
