Columbus man indicted for trafficking women
A Columbus man has been indicted by a federal grand jury with five counts of human trafficking.
The indictment alleges 30-year-old Lerenzo White trafficked at least five women for the purpose of commercial sex acts.
White allegedly recruited the women from at least July 2013 through May 2016. He reportedly used violence and the threat of drug withdrawal to force them into prostitution at various locations throughout Ohio for money.
Sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion is punishable by range of 15 years to life in prison.
