Columbus Public Health officials are investigating after shocking pictures surfaced Monday of lewd conduct involving Subway employees.

Health officials said they were investigating the Subway restaurant located at 5350 Tuttle Crossing Boulevard. The restaurant is part of a Turkey Hill gas station.

Pictures surfaced on a social media site Monday of someone placing his genitals on bread dough, with the caption reading "I will be your sandwich artist today."

Another picture showed someone holding a bottle, with the caption saying they froze their urine at work.

A spokesman for Subway said the two employees were fired.

Bob Gierhart, Director of Operations for Gilligan Oil, which owns the Subway, said the restaurant closed Monday to throw out all their bread and sanitize all surfaces.

"We do our best to hire properly," he said. "We had a couple of kids who don't understand the ramifications of what they do and what they post."

A sign was posted on the restaurant door Monday alerting customers that they were closed and would reopen Tuesday.

Customers 10TV spoke with said they were disgusted.

"I think I'm going to go home and consider puking," Jason South said. "I know the more it sinks in the worse I'm going to feel about it."

Health officials said they're talking with the City Attorney's Office about possible criminal charges.
