Columbus City Schools Welcome New School Buses

Columbus City Schools will get to start the new school year with some new rides.

The district is received the first 25 of 300 new school buses on Monday.

This is part of the transportation department’s in-house expansion.

Transportation officials say the new buses are also safer.

They have more emergency exits and are designed to be fire retardant.

They'll even be more comfortable for riders.

The district expects to receive the rest of the buses in July.
